There’s a term we use in the corporate world (also known as my day job), when we phase out a project, we call it “sunsetting.” I guess you could say we’re sunsetting the garden. It’s time. The heat and the feast or famine rainfall has taken a toll along with simply the season’s end for these plants. Even though we did not produce the bumper crop of tomatoes I’d hoped for, we still enjoyed watching everything grow. So, we’ve decided to expand the box and our efforts into the fall season.
Wish us extra luck this time as we squeeze in garden tending around homework, shorter days, and earlier bedtimes. Just as the sun sets, it will come up again.
